Amritsar is well-connected by air, rail, and road. The Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport offers flights from major cities in India. There are also frequent trains to Amritsar Railway Station from various parts of the country. For a more scenic route, you can drive or hire a cab.
Visitors to the Golden Temple are required to dress modestly. Men should wear long pants and a shirt with sleeves, and women should wear long skirts or pants and cover their shoulders. Headscarves are provided at the temple for both men and women.
