Itinerary

Begin your journey either from Delhi or Chandigarh by early morning in a comfortable car or private cab. The scenic 10-12 hour drive from Delhi (or 6-7 hours from Chandigarh) will take you through picturesque valleys, mountain passes, and charming villages, making the journey as delightful as the destination. Upon reaching Dalhousie in the evening, check in to your pre-booked hotel. After some relaxation, you can take a leisurely stroll around the Mall Road to soak in the fresh mountain air and serene ambiance. Have dinner at a local restaurant or your hotel before retiring for the night.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel and head out to explore Dalhousie’s top attractions. Visit St. John’s Church, an iconic British-era church with a serene atmosphere, and then proceed to Panchpula, a lovely picnic spot with a small waterfall and a memorial dedicated to the freedom fighter, Sardar Ajit Singh. After lunch, visit the Subhash Baoli, named after the freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose, which offers splendid views and tranquil surroundings. End the day with a visit to the Dainkund Peak, the highest point in Dalhousie, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the valley and surrounding mountains. Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner and rest.

After breakfast, embark on a day trip to Khajjiar, often referred to as the "Mini Switzerland of India." Located about 24 kilometers from Dalhousie, this lush green meadow is surrounded by dense deodar forests and offers a stunning backdrop of snow-capped mountains. You can enjoy activities like horse riding, zorbing, or simply relax by the lake in the center of the meadow. On your way back, stop by the Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can take a short trek amidst the peaceful forest and spot some wildlife. Return to Dalhousie by evening and spend the rest of your time exploring the local markets for souvenirs.

On the final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and take some time to relax or explore any remaining local spots. After checking out of the hotel, begin your return journey to Delhi or Chandigarh. En route, you may stop for lunch at a local eatery. Arrive back at your starting point by evening, concluding your memorable 4-day Dalhousie trip.
