Travel to the trek starting point at either McLeod Ganj or Dharamkot. You can take a local taxi or bus to reach these points. Arrival at Trek Starting Point: If you start from Dharamkot, you can reach the trek starting point in about 30 minutes. Alternatively, if you’re starting from McLeod Ganj, it might take around 15-20 minutes. Begin the Trek to Triund: Start your trek from Dharamkot or McLeod Ganj towards Triund. The trek covers approximately 9 km and takes about 4-5 hours. The trail is well-marked and passes through beautiful oak and rhododendron forests, offering stunning views of the Dhauladhar range and Kangra Valley. Afternoon: Arrival at Triund: Arrive at Triund by early afternoon. Check into your pre-arranged campsite or guesthouse. Triund is a popular trekking destination with breathtaking views of the snow-capped Dhauladhar range and the Kangra Valley below. Lunch: Enjoy a packed lunch or a meal provided at the campsite. Take some time to relax and enjoy the serene environment. Explore and Relax: After lunch, explore the area around Triund. You can take a short walk, enjoy the views, or simply rest and soak in the natural beauty. Evening: Sunset Views: Witness a spectacular sunset over the Himalayan peaks. The changing colors of the sky and mountains provide a picturesque setting. Dinner: Enjoy a warm and hearty dinner at the campsite. Traditional meals and hot beverages are served to keep you comfortable. Overnight Stay: Spend the night in a tent or guesthouse at Triund. Experience the tranquility of the Himalayan night and enjoy stargazing.

The descent takes about 3-4 hours, depending on your pace and the trail conditions. Arrival in Dharamshala: Arrive back in Dharamshala by late morning or early afternoon. Freshen up at your accommodation. Afternoon: Lunch and Local Exploration: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Dharamshala. Spend the afternoon exploring local attractions such as the Dalai Lama Temple, the Tibetan Museum, or the local markets. You can also visit the nearby McLeod Ganj if you have extra time. Evening: Departure: If you’re planning to return to Delhi or another destination, begin your journey in the evening. Depending on your mode of transport, you may arrive back in Delhi late at night or the next morning.

The trek begins from McLeod Ganj or Dharamshala. You can reach these towns by road or by air. The nearest airport is Gaggal Airport near Dharamshala, and there are regular bus and taxi services from major cities like Delhi and Chandigarh. We can assist with transportation arrangements if needed.
Accommodations generally include basic lodges or campsites along the trek. You will stay in comfortable tents or guesthouses equipped with essential amenities. Please note that facilities may be basic, and you should be prepared for a rustic experience.
Pack comfortable trekking clothes, sturdy hiking boots, a warm jacket, gloves, a hat, a sleeping bag (if not provided), a water bottle, sunscreen, and a camera. Also, bring personal medications, a headlamp or flashlight, and trekking poles if needed.
