Morning: Depart from Delhi by train or road to Haridwar or Rishikesh. Both cities are major transit points for those heading to Kedarnath. Train Option: You can take the Nanda Devi Express or Kolkata Express to Haridwar, which takes around 5-6 hours. Road Option: Drive or take a bus from Delhi to Haridwar/Rishikesh, which takes about 6-7 hours. Afternoon/Evening: Arrive in Haridwar/Rishikesh. Check into your hotel or guesthouse. Spend the evening exploring Haridwar's ghats, such as Har Ki Pauri, or Rishikesh’s serene settings and the Ganga Aarti ceremony. Overnight: Stay in Haridwar or Rishikesh.
Morning: After breakfast, head towards Gaurikund by road. The drive takes approximately 6-8 hours depending on road conditions. Enjoy scenic views along the way as you ascend into the foothills of the Himalayas. Afternoon: Arrive in Gaurikund and check into your accommodation. Gaurikund serves as the base camp for the Kedarnath trek. Evening: Rest and prepare for the trek the next day. Ensure you have all necessary gear and supplies for the journey. Overnight: Stay in Gaurikund.
Morning: Start your trek to Kedarnath early in the morning. The trek is around 16 km (10 miles) and takes approximately 6-8 hours, depending on your pace and the weather.
