The winter months (October to April) can be extremely cold, with temperatures dropping well below freezing, and many roads are closed due to snow.

Warm Clothing: Layers including thermal wear, jackets, gloves, and hats. Sunscreen: High-altitude sun exposure can be intense. Sunglasses: Protect your eyes from the bright sun and UV rays. Medications: For altitude sickness, personal prescriptions, and first-aid supplies. Camera and Batteries: Batteries drain quickly in cold weather, so carry extras.

ATMs: There are ATMs in Leh, but they might not always be reliable. Carry some cash with you. Internet: Internet connectivity is available in Leh and major towns, but it may be limited or slow in remote areas. Consider buying a local SIM card if needed.
