Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 10 h 42 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are September through September.
If you are planning to visit Vaishno Devi Temple, take the new route that starts at Tarakote, it is less and less steep. Almost the entire route is shaded with lots of benches to sit and rest. Horses are not allowed in this route hence it is clean.
